Tennessee Man Killed in Accident on 36 Highway

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Eric Gorrell of Hendersonville, Tenn., was killed after he crashed his motorcycle into an SUV 10 miles east of St. Joseph.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A Tennessee man was killed after an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on U.S. 36 Highway early Saturday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 37-year-old Eric Gorrell of Hendersonville, Tenn., was killed after he crashed his motorcycle into an SUV 10 miles east of St. Joseph.

The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. Saturday near County Line Road. The highway patrol's crash report states Steve Hadorn, 82, of Stewartsville was northbound on County Line Road in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee when he pulled into the path of Gorrell on a 1999 Harley Davidson.

Gorrell's motorcycle struck the driver's door of Hadorn's SUV.

Gorrell was pronounced dead just after 8 a.m. at Heartland Regional Hospital. Hadorn and a passenger, Jo Annne Hadorn, 82, also of Stewartsville, were both taken to Heartland.

Steve Hadorn's injuries were listed as moderate and Jo Anne's minor.
