Tim W. Blumer, 49, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, November 8, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 10, 1964 to Samuel and Lynette (Clark) Blumer in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was a 1982 graduate of Lafayette High School and studied at Missouri Western State University for one year. He worked for the St. Joseph News Press for fifteen years as a web designer and pressman, then later worked for American Angus Association in Graphic Design for ten years.
Tim served as “Odie the Soundman” in kids’ church at Faith Valley Church of God and was a father figure to so many kids and fully supported them. He had a love for music and art, and was a published freelance artist.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Eldora Clark; paternal grandparents, Opha and Opal D. Blumer; and brother, Brian Blumer.
Survivors: parents; children, Andrew Blumer, Aaron Blumer, Amanda Shafer (Jeff), Tim A. Blumer, and Sarah Blumer, all of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Maree Ashkari (Matan), Anchorage, Alaska; two grandsons, Sawyer and Noah; brothers, Samuel J. Blumer, St. Joseph, Missouri and Gregory J. Blumer, Kearney, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Ashland Cemetery, at a later date. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, where friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
