Two Arrested After Shooting Outside Legends

Two people are in custody this morning after an argument outside Legends leads to shooting.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Police received a call just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning of a shooting on the Belt Highway.

According to Sgt. Roy Hoskins of the St. Joseph Police Department, the incident began with a verbal altercation between two people inside the Legends location on the Belt Highway.  The argument continued into the parking lot where a 22-year-old driving a 2006 Dodge Ram backed into a 21-year-old driving a 1988 Mercedes.

After the collision, a person related to the driver of the Mercedes fired numerous shots at the truck as it drove north on the Belt.  The Ram was later found abandoned in Andrew County.

Sgt. Hoskins says both the individual who allegedly fired the shots and the driver of the Dodge Ram are in custody this morning, while the driver of the Mercedes was not taken into custody.

No injuries were reported and no names have been released.
