Vatterott College Offers Computer Classes

A free class is helping not-so-tech-savvy students get back into the swing of things.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A free class is helping not-so-tech-savvy students get back into the swing of things.

Vatterott College hosted a basic complimentary computer class Wednesday afternoon.

Computer students and instructors volunteer their time to help teach programs such as Microsoft word and excel.

Vatterott says those needing one-on-one assistance can just walk in between 1 to 3 p.m. every Wednesday.

The classes are held in the computer lab on Vatterott's campus in north St. Joseph.

"The job market is always changing and so computer skills and learning the latest technique is always a valuable thing to know how to do. We have kind of a structure base to it, but then we also allow people to come in with their own questions, what they want to learn, and work with them on a one to one base," said Campus Director Brandon Deets.

The free classes will be available every Wednesday with exception of finals week.
