The crash happened at the corner of Grant and Elizabeth streets around 7:30 p.m.
Witnesses say a minivan coming south on Grant Street ran a stop sign and t-boned a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was going east on Elizabeth Street.
The collision rolled the Jeep into the front lawn of a home on the corner.
Officers say they suspect the van was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
One passenger was taken to hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.
Neighbors say it was a close call for the homeowners.
"The jeep just barely missed the house. The guy inside the house said he couldn't even get out of his chair quick enough, he was scared to death they were coming through his front window," said Collene Paden, who lives across the street.
The homeowners were not injured, just shaken up.
Officers say the driver of the van was issued a summons for careless driving.
