F.O.C.U.S. Empowerment Group spoke to locals, who work with youth, to inform them on ways to detect mental health problems.
Issues such as depression, anxiety, impulse control, and misuse of alcohol and other drugs are common in the United States, and in youth.
Preferred Family Health Care and F.O.C.U.S want adults to be able to recognize signs of mental illnesses before they get out of hand.
"If it's something that could be caught early and treated early, it's less likely to become a situation that drastically impacts that child's life," said Gary Hillebrand.
Studies show that during a year, one in more than four American kids will experience a mental health challenge.
