Heat Retreating, Stormy Weather Ahead

(ST. JOSEPH, MO.) The frontal boundary that generated storms yesterday morning is just to the north of St. Joseph today. Showers and thunderstorms will move through northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri this morning and should wrap up heading into the afternoon.

St. Joseph will have cloud cover this morning and should remain dry as storms pass to the north. Temperatures will start off in the lower 70s.

Clouds will decrease in the afternoon as temperatures climb to around 90 degrees. The hot and humid air will stay farther south. Winds will be out of the east northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Heading into the evening and overnight there is a chance for a few showers or storms to pop up and bring some rainfall. Temperatures will drop into the lower 70s. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Chances for showers and storms will increase heading into Wednesday. The frontal boundary will be situated across northern Missouri and bring scattered storms throughout the day. Temperatures will get up to the upper 80s. Winds will be out of the east southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
