(ST. JOSEPH, MO.) Friday will begin with some cloud cover in the early morning as a cold front is positioned across central Kansas. The front will move east throughout the day. This will result in increasing clouds and rain chances through the morning hours.

The best chance for thunderstorm activity is in the afternoon when the front makes its way into Missouri. With clouds and precipitation expected during the afternoon hours, temperatures will only reach the low to mid 80s with winds out of the southwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Storms will continue into the evening and overnight as the front pushes into central Missouri. Most of the showers will wrap up by midnight, but a few could linger in to early Saturday morning. Lows will drop to the mid to upper 60s with winds out of the southwest at 5-10 miles per hour.

Saturday will clear up and dry out as the storm activity pushes to the east. Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies. Winds will be light and variable.
