(ST. JOSEPH, MO.) Showers and thunderstorms are developing across northwest Missouri this morning along the same stationary front that that brought storms the past couple of days.

The front is parked across northern Missouri and will move a little bit throughout the day. This will allow chances for thunderstorms to stick around in the morning hours and then again in the evening. The main threat with these storms will be heavy rainfall.

Temperatures will top out in the upper 80s this afternoon under partly sunny skies. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Storm chances continue into the overnight hours with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be around 70 degrees. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Thursday, the stationary front will lift to the north as another disturbance moves in from the west. More scattered thunderstorms will pop up throughout the day. Temperatures will once again reach the upper 80s as warm moist air moves in. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
