( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) Wednesday is going to see a bump up in temperatures. A warm front lifted north through northern Missouri early in the morning. The southerly flow will continue throughout the day at 5 to 15 miles per hour, bringing warm, moist air into the region. This will allow temperatures to climb into the low to mid 90s this afternoon. Dew points will be in the 70s which will make it feel even hotter. Heat index values could top out in the triple digits. Sunshine will be ample in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will only drop down to the mid to low 70s overnight under mostly clear skies. Winds will be out of the south at 10 miles per hour. Thursday will be even hotter than Wednesday as temperatures will rise into the mid 90s. Heat index readings will reach 100 degrees once again. Breezy conditions will be present in the afternoon as winds blow out of the south at 10 to 15 miles per hour and gust up to 20 miles per hour.
