( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) With the passage of the cold front overnight, Wednesday will be much cooler and drier. Temperatures will start off around 70 degrees as high pressure starts to build in across the Plains. Afternoon highs will only climb into the mid 80s rather than mid 90s like on Monday and Tuesday. Winds will be out of the northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Overnight lows will drop back into the lower 60s as winds continue to blow out of the northeast. There will be a few clouds around on Wednesday night. Thursday will be even cooler with highs reaching the low to mid 80s. Clouds will increase on Thursday afternoon as winds shift to the southeast.
