( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) Tuesday is starting off with scattered thunderstorms. Convection was able to occur as a weak disturbance moved into northwest Missouri. These storms will continue for a few more hours before fizzling out by 7am. After the storms depart, the afternoon will be mostly sunny. Temperatures will top out right around 90 degrees. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5 miles per hour. Tonight will be similar to last night in that there is a chance for showers and storms as a frontal boundary moves through the region. Lows will be around 70 degrees. Wednesday will hot and humid as warm moist air is ushered into the area. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s with heat index values around 100 degrees. Winds will be out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
