( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) Wednesday will start off mild with temperatures right around 70 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. A frontal boundary will be right over the viewing area this afternoon and will bring thunderstorms to the area. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 80s with winds out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Thunderstorm activity will develop in the afternoon and continue into the evening and overnight hours. Some of the storms will be strong and maybe even severe. The biggest threat with these storms will be heavy rainfall. There could still be high winds and some hail associated with these storms. Temperatures will only drop to around 70 degrees overnight with continued southeast winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Storms will continue on Thursday as the frontal boundary pushes south, but should start to wrap up in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be a bit cooler on Thursday, only getting up to the low to mid 80s under mostly cloudy skies.
