( ST. JOSEPH, MO. ) Friday will bring more chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s. Winds will gust out of the south southeast up to 25 miles per hour. Overnight temperatures will only drop to the low 70s under mostly cloudy skies. There is still a chance for storms throughout the nighttime hours. Saturday brings a better chance of thunderstorms as a front moves into the region. The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for severe weather from Saturday morning through Sunday morning for NE Kansas and NW Missouri.
