Snow Moves in Over Night

Snow moves into the area in the overnight hours and hangs around through Sunday morning, possibly lingering into Sunday afternoon.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Snow will begin drifting up from the south in the overnight hours, with accumulation beginning around 4 a.m.

Expect to see around a half an inch by sunrise Sunday morning. Snow will continue through the morning and begin tapering off around noon.

Dry air lofting down will slow the snow and give us a chance of freezing drizzle mixed with some flurries in the afternoon and evening hours Sunday. Don't look for much, if any, accumulation from Sunday afternoon's activity.

By the time the snow is out of the area, much of northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas will have received an inch to two inches of snow.

Temperatures get very cold Sunday night and into Monday morning, but the sun returns Monday and sticks around through the week.
